MuzicNotez Interview:

• How long have you been a musician? What age did you begin?
  • GHOST: Started writing @ age 14 as an escape to vent and reflect on things I was going thru, bought my first recording program @ age 16 and I have been destine to do this ever since, music is what I breathe work and live for.

• How’d you come up with the name G.H.O.S.T, what’s it stand for?
  • GHOST: G.H.O.S.T stands for: god helps open self-thirst, because I believe with god all things can be accomplished all mistakes are seen as lessons and all dreams become reality.

• What motivated you to start playing music?
  • GHOST: When I hear a beat I just attack it like a starving lion would attack its prey in the wild it’s a dog eat dog world so to speak in the music industry and if you aint hungry you WILL STARVE.

• Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you play?
  • GHOST: I have a bunch of diff artist that have inspired me, Elvis, gunz n roses, kid rock, krs1, pac, big, jadakiss, dmx, nas, jay-z, wayne, Kenny Chesney, and toby kieth that’s just to name a few.

• What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to?
  • GHOST: Dirty South Invasion @ the Verizon center in dc

• If you could play with any other musician or band… who would it be? (past or present)
  • GHOST: I would love to drop a hot 16 on a metallica record that would be dope but my all-time artist I would love to perform with is weezy hands down.

• What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?
  • GHOST: To do what I love to do as a job that I know will sufficiently secure my family with no worries at all and to travel the world.

• What’s the music scene like for an upcoming rapper like you in Virginia?
  • GHOST: Actually the DMV is getting a lot of recognition in the industry right now there’s a lot of big moves being made out here (shout out stamp DMV)

• Out of all your songs or albums… do you have a favorite? What is it? And why?
  • GHOST: Well I like every track I drop, but I would have to say my favorite album I ever dropped would be (barely legal) with my homie young relly that is a classic from start to Finnish.

• How do you believe the internet helps the music industry or you as a musician?
  • GHOST: I’d have to say that internet marketing is the key to getting heard but the trick is getting people to actually listen and support you as a fan.

• What’s coming up next in your music career? New album, shows, developments?
  • GHOST: I am dropping a new mix tape sometime in august entitled (based on tha grynd) a sequel to the mix tape I have floating around the net right now entitled (based on swag) available on datpiff just search based on swag!!!!

• Anything else you wish to say about yourself or your music?
  • GHOST: I am working on getting a nonprofit organization started to benefit kids in my community by having basketball, flag football, volley ball, cookouts, dances, and motivational speakers come in and talk to them about life and how important good choices you make when you’re young can mold your career as an adult. The pitch is gonna be (START YOUR LIFE WITH A CLEAN S.L.A.T.E) which stands for study learn apply teach everyone!!!
