Interview with Gospel Artist Kamika Kamika on updates since her album ‘Strong Peace’ & more

MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you again, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.

Kamika Kamika : Definitely, humbled; it’s a privilege to be in the spotlight again!!

Your latest release was the album ‘Strong Peace’, what have you been working on since then?

Kamika Kamika : Practicing what I preach, I’ve truly been about My Father’s business. Working on my vocals of course yall have to stay tuned for what God is about to do!

Clearly, your faith is a big part of your music. Have you heard stories from fans about your music having a positive impact in their lives?

Kamika Kamika : People send me messages and chat constantly about how my music even landed on their radar! The testimonies and responses I receive I often share on IG and Facebook from time to time.

One lady confronted me via N1M about her boyfriend playing one of my songs so much she listened and reached out to let me know how it affected their relationship. You would have thought we were beefing. but God! That’s Spiritually Dope!

More important than being an artist, your mission in life is to serve God. What message do you have for people on that?

Kamika Kamika : : Walk YOUR path. There is power in God!! Getch Sum Faith, you are accountable for what you know.

Being a Gospel singer, are you still singing in churches? What’s your favorite song to sing in church?

Kamika Kamika : I’m a church girl, I’m always going to sing in churches. “Yes, God Is Real” it’s in the Baptist Hymnal.

Out of all the songs you’ve released, which one is closest to your heart and why?

Kamika Kamika : “All Over Me”. I wrote this song for KAMIKA. I needed to remind myself of God’s time vs my own and never lose sight of being in the number…God had his hands all over me during a rough season! When folks counted me out I could feel his love surrounding me, I felt blessed, I lived with no regrets, gave of my best to God, gained a few certifications and was elevated in spirit and truth. Blest

Your music is released with Splash Jam South, what has it been like working with them?

Kamika Kamika : Love, discipline, growth, grind, hustle…in that order

When you’re not creating music, what other kind of hobbies do you have? What do ya do for entertainment?

Kamika Kamika : I skate, I travel, make candles, do hair, and I sit down by the riverside very often. I go to comedy shows also.

What else are you working on? What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?

Kamika Kamika : I’m working on myself while God continues to reveal my assignments and purpose. Nothing stops, the grind, the passion, the music. So many doors are opening and I’m accessing them as God sees fit.

Anything else you wish to say about yourself or your music? Any message for your fans?

Kamika Kamika : This is a lifestyle: Strong Peace
