Interview with Hip Hop Artist B-Loc
MuzicNotez: What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?
B-Loc: I started doing music in the early two thousands as a way to release bottled up emotions, due to having a broken heart.
Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?
B-Loc: Growing up I listened to C-Bo, Messy Marv, Mitchy Slick, J-Diggs, Marvaless, Sky Baller, and Mack Dre. They all had an influence on me and the kind of music I wanted to create. I have even had the pleasure of working with J-Diggs, Mitchy Slick, and Marvaless.
What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?
B-Loc: When I started making music, I did not really take it seriously. It wasn’t until a friend pulled me aside to tell me how talented I was and really took an interest in what I was doing. I have poured my heart and soul into this current project and I am hoping to achieve a gold album as an independent artist.
What’s the latest release of yours? Tell us about it.
B-Loc: My latest project is set to be released on June 28, 2024. It’s called Broke Hobbies Volume 1. It’s a collection of songs that I have done over the last few years.
