Interview with Rap Artist Sauce.K
MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us. What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?
Sauce.K: My main motivation was my personal interest of connecting the world together through music. The amount of time I enjoyed music growing up as a kid encouraged me to start my own career to move the world through sounds. I began writing lyrics since 9 years old but didn’t start being an artist until 20.
Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?
Sauce.K: My top influences are probably gonna have to be – J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Mob, WifisFuneral, and a few others. Just the vibe of making hype music or even something lyrical is what draws me to pursue my career.

What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?
Sauce.K: I definitely wanna be the reason someone turns their music up. If I can make a club banger or even a touching song that someone can use to make their day have stronger emotions then that would be a success goal of mine. I wanna help benefit and change the world through my art. Whether that be, Sad music, Party music, or even something that makes you feel like you’re in GTA haha.
What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to or performed?
Sauce.K: My greatest concerts I’ve done would definitely have to be the Denver Fashion Week that took place in November 2023 & the Halftime performance I did for the UNC Bears February 2024. Just something about performing for over hundreds of people makes me feel so confident. It brings out my true self as an artist to express who I am through my lyrics.
Your latest release is the track ‘Helluva’, how would you describe this track?
Sauce.K: The best way to describe it would have to be what everyone else says. “Catchy and Hype AF” the most talked about thing I get from it is the transition I did right after the second hook. It caught lots of people off guard with the whole energy change up. Plus, It’s hella catchy for live performances since the hook is such an easy song to remember.
Your music has topped a lot of major charts internationally, how does it feel to see that kind of validation?
Sauce.K: Honestly it’s very humbling. In my experience with the music industry it’s been a great blessing to be on any chart no matter how big or small. Most the time when it’s a local chart I never see myself make the “Top 50, or “top 100” since it’s all based off biased opinions rather than facts. One thing I was taught by TopFliteEmpire was “Opinions create Gossip & Facts create history” So being in a top 50 chart in the UK was truly an honor no matter how short of the time I had there. Just being up there was something I’ll never take for granted.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be?
Sauce.K: I would definitely love to work J.Cole. He’s been my main inspiration as a lyrical genius. To even be in the booth with him to observe and educate myself would be enough to make me push myself harder. But doing a collaboration would build my character for more development.
What else are you working on? What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?
Sauce.K: Currently I’m on a state tour in Colorado for my Album “Visionz”. The album contains many songs with lots of features from Colorado. With 2 songs mentored and produced by West Coast Legend Murs. I’ve been pushing this album out like crazy because there’s so much hype to it that I feel like it needed more time. But now that the tour is coming to an end. It’s safe to say that it’s ready to release this year before the summer.
Anything else you wish to say about yourself or your music? Any message for your fans?
Sauce.K: I honestly wanna thank everyone from around the world who pushed me through every hardship I’ve faced. YOU are the reason why I keep going. 1 listener became 3 and 3 became 10 and so on so forth. The amount of support that has multiplied shows that I’m doing something right. So once again; thank you to all my fans and to those who taught me everything I needed to know.
