Interview with Country Artist Styles Haury

MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us. What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

Styles Haury: A country band practiced in my dad’s shop, while growing up. My dad did some work on a drummers muscle car and that guy bought me a drum set. Then me and some buddies put together our own band in 4th grade. My guitar player Dan who’s with me today, was in that band. We’ve been together since 4th grade.

Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

Styles Haury: ACDC, Alan Jackson, and Kenny Chesney to name a few.

What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

Styles Haury: Triple Play Award as a writer, and playing the Grand Ole Opry.

What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to or performed?

Styles Haury: AC/DC Black Ice Tour.. amazing

Your latest single ‘World’ is coming out Friday. What can you say about it? What does the release mean to you?

Styles Haury: New Single WORLD – a song of what people need to hear right now. We need some light in the world.

What do you think about the state of country music right now?

Styles Haury: It’s on an upward trajectory, a lot of good stuff out right now. Like Parker McCollum, Old Hickory, Lainey Wilson…. To name a few.

You’ve found a lot of success as an independent artist, what’s the best piece of advice you would give to other emerging artists?

Styles Haury: Find a team that believes in you and stay true to yourself… if people won’t let you play in the sand box.. make your own.

What else are you working on? What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?

Styles Haury: A lot of new music, turning the heat up on social media, and being out on the road more.
