Interview with Crooner Hayden Grove
MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you again, for our fifth time!
What have you been up to since we last spoke?
- Hayden Grove: It’s always great to talk to you guys! Honestly, just singing a lot. Had 21 gigs scheduled for December.

MuzicNotez: Saw you posted a video recently singing a Christmas song with Grammy winner David Foster. These type of duets with stars that social media and TikTok make possible are really amazing. How do you feel this helps you as an artist?
- Hayden Grove: I agree that they really are amazing. They give you an opportunity to collaborate with the best musicians and artists in the world—an opportunity that may never come about in the real world. They also allow you an opportunity to be seen by these stars, potentially leading to other opportunities in the world of music.

MuzicNotez: Also saw you recently performed at a benefit for the Epilepsy Association. How did that go? How’d you start working with them?
- Hayden Grove: Yes, it went really well! To be honest, I’m not quite sure how I started working with them. They found me somehow and wanted me to headline their event! It was great to perform with such talented musicians, including Zachary Finnegan, who plays in Michael Buble’s band!
MuzicNotez: You’re such a natural performer, like a lot of great Crooners before you. How do you get up and in the mood to put on a good show? Any particular rituals or routines?
- Hayden Grove: That is a GREAT question. Sometimes, I’m not always in a great mood when I go on stage. The music changes that quickly. The moment I start to sing, my mood changes because I do love it so much. When I am in a good mood, it’s usually because the crowd is energetic and lively, but that’s not always going to be the case.
MuzicNotez: With the holiday season quickly approaching, and your music so perfectly suited for this season. Any holiday shows or songs coming up?
- Hayden Grove: Yes, Christmas is the time for crooners, that’s for sure! Yes, like I said earlier, I have 21 gigs scheduled for this month, from the start of the month until New Year’s Eve. I sing holiday music for the entire month, mixing in some of my normal repertoire again.
MuzicNotez: What is your favorite Christmas song to sing? Also, what’s your favorite Christmas song overall?
- Hayden Grove: Man, Christmas is my favorite time of year and Christmas music is actually my favorite genre in general, so it’s hard to pick favorites. At the moment, I love singing Sleigh Ride, but it’s hard to call any one my favorite. My favorite Christmas song overall is between two—The Christmas Song and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. They’re quintessentially Christmas to me, capturing the essence of the season in every way.

MuzicNotez: You’ve been connecting with a lot of other artists lately it seems. Any particular artists you would like to give a shout out to here? How do you think it makes you a better artist when collaborating with others?
- Hayden Grove: Yes, the world of social media has provided me some incredible opportunities to connect with other artists. I recently did a show in Maine with Ryan Hebert. He’s such a talented vocalist and we had so much fun. We also met up with Stella Cole and Wyatt Michael, who did a show together in Massachusetts. Collaborating and talking with other artists allows me to see different points of view, different ways of doing things and inspires me to continue to grow and develop as an artist and a human being.
MuzicNotez: What else are you working on? What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?
- Hayden Grove: Right now, I’m just trying to get through this holiday season with my voice intact. 21 gigs is a lot in a month. That being said, in 2024, I’m working on a few things. I want to be better about marketing myself, I want to continue to collaborate with musicians and continue to grow my “brand” if you will. I also want to do more shows with a band and less by myself with just tracks.
MuzicNotez: Anything else you wish to say about yourself or your music? Any message for your fans?
- Hayden Grove: I just want to wish everyone a happy holiday season and a very happy, healthy and blessed New Year!
