Interview with Country Artist Josh Melton

MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.

What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

• Josh Melton: How it all started …I walked into a karaoke bar in my hometown and caught just the right buzz to sing a song, I never turned back ..I knew from that day on I wanted to be a singer …a few months later I moved to nashville

  I started at age 30

MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

• Josh Melton: My musical influences were very few… since my first two cars didn’t even have radios… I didn’t listen to alot of music growing up… but I slowly started listening to all genres.. From Eminem all the way to Frank Sinatra. I have a love for all music

MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

• Josh Melton: My main goal is to leave positive footprint in country music. I also want to be an inspiration to other.. I love going against the odds and proving to people that anything is reachable, with Hard work and determination.

MuzicNotez: What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to or performed?

• Josh Melton: I think one of my bucket list shows was opening up for Tim McGraw. 13k people was an amazing site.. an unforgettable night for sure!

MuzicNotez: Your latest release is the single ‘Drink A Beer On It’, which we love! If you can have a beer anywhere, paint the perfect setting for you.

• Josh Melton: If I could have a beer anywhere it would be on a beach in Jamaica.

  If I can’t get to a beach I’ll take crackin a cold one open right after I get done putting some fresh strips in the lawn.

MuzicNotez: Your single ‘I Get That With You’ amazingly has over 13 million streams! What does it feel to see that kind of success?

• Josh Melton: Having success in the industry is an amazing feeling.. the lows are so low that the highs are just an amazing feeling. I remember playing for four people in my home town thinking it was so cool that 4 people came to hear me sing … now waking up to numbers of 60 million + streams on all platforms is mind blowing to me. Very humbled and happy to be a small part of country music.

MuzicNotez: How do you feel about the current state of country music?

• Josh Melton: Current state of country music is cool.. I love seeing all sides of people’s take on the industry.. Everything tends to evolve, and I believe about every five years Country music as we know it takes a small turn.. Im happy to be in Nashville and I love the lane that I’m currently cruising in.

MuzicNotez: What else are you working on? What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?

• Josh Melton: We are releasing my first Album this fall.. Very excited to share this page of my life with y’all.. my roots are where I was raised in a small town in Ohio full of good people.. So you’ll get that small town feeling listening to my first Album.

MuzicNotez: Anything else you wish to say about yourself or your music? Any message for your fans?

• Josh Melton: I wake up everyday with the goal of writing the best music I can for my fans .. I really appreciate the support and I will continue to work as hard as I possibly can to bring you guys the best country music possible.
