MuzicNotez: What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

• Princekidd: I started singing when I was around 15 years old at church, I started creating music around my 20’s.because that when I began to experience the ups and downs on life. The motivation was more behind the down and sad times.

MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

• Princekidd: Usher is my R&B King for life. It all started when his song “Bedtime” hit the radio.

MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

• Princekidd: Music healing the soul is the goal I feel like a lot of times we go through things, especially hard times it is difficult to process the emotion. Whenever you hear a song that relates, a healing process is created. My message would be, LOVE: Love to live in your truth, love yourself so you can let others love you to.

MuzicNotez: What’s the latest release of yours? Tell us about it.

• Princekidd: My latest release is called “Holding On” I wrote this song to myself to be honest. At the time I didn’t have anyone to hold onto for about 2 years. After my breakup I didn’t want to love again but we all know that isn’t possible. When I started singing it, I asked myself who “would” I be talking to in this song and I turned around I saw my reflection in the window.
