The debut jazz album by Philip Lentz is fittingly named ‘Phil Lentz Presents…’. Mr. Lentz is a jazz pianist and composer out of New York City. He doesn’t just write music though, he’s an award winning journalist, novelist and speechwriter. Now, he’s taking his writing talents to the songwriting realm. He’s already played in famous jazz clubs in Manhattan, which is a rather high honor.
The debut album ‘Phil Lentz Presents…’ features 11 new original jazz tracks. These songs are composed by Phil Lentz and arranged by him and Dennis Harte, whom also produced the album. Lentz is of course on the piano, Harte on guitar. Together, they put together a very impressive jazz album with some other talented artists mixed in. This isn’t all instrumentals though, there are some beautiful vocals on ‘Where Are All The People’. The composition on all of these tracks is spectacular, it’s beautiful and takes you on a real ride. The music just sets the mood right away and takes you to one of those beautiful classy Manhattan jazz clubs. Listen to it below via Spotify or on most digital streaming sites.
