MuzicNotez: What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?
- Todd Barrow: I was born with the gift of music. Some would call it a calling to share with mankind. My first experience at the age of 8 was performing “hound dog ” by Elvis Presley at a school talent show! After that I was hooked singing and performing in front of people.

MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?
- Todd Barrow: My music influences is very long and wide. I grew up listening to artist/bands on vinyl records. You would hear “Baby come back” by Player, The Eagles album “The Long Run”. My favorite bands like 38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Cars, Cheap Trick and ZZ Top. Must add entire collection of Elvis best hits. Also Eddie Rabbit, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Alabama.
MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?
- Todd Barrow: The goals keep me focused and on track! I would like to perform at the I-Heart Radio awards next year. Achieving greater success on the Billboard charts. The ultimate artist performance in front of an audience the size of 85,000. Bigger platforms for my music and shows!
My message is very simple to be the best version of YOU. You will do great things when you love what you do in music.
MuzicNotez: What’s the latest release of yours? Tell us about it.
- Todd Barrow: My Girl Crush- August 18, 2022
If you’ve ever had that first love feeling then you’ll love this country tune.
I was listening to an old Taylor Swift song that struck me as a theme to go after.
It speaks about two girls trying to win the heart of a guy. One is more nerdy and the other a cheerleader type. I was inspired to put words on paper and begin putting together my own version from a country boy perspective.
