Artist Interviews

MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.

  • Ed Roman: It’s a pleasure to be here and thank you so kindly for having me.

MuzicNotez: What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

  • Ed Roman: I always remembered music being something tantamount to a Jedi. Living and dying by ideals that transcend. Fighting epic battles against evil in some sort of linguistic & musical battle for the mortal coil. I started singing songs when I was about five.

MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

  • Ed Roman: People who are not afraid to take a chance and break the boundaries of social order and illuminate truths that existed behind a hidden curtain. They are the innovators. The creators of the instruments. The artisan who knew how to allow their instrument to become an extension of their spiritual and moral quest. The cunning linguists who left indelible information in your sub conscience, more like troubadours of faith and left you with a sense of hope in abundance in your own mission.

MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

  • Ed Roman: This question is bigger than Godzilla. The purpose has vacillated into many corners of my life since I began my pursuit. Perhaps it has been to serve me as an emotional vehicle for anger frustration and passion. Perhaps it is to leave some kind of time marker here. Maybe it will serve as a litany of information in someone else’s life. And if there is a message betwixt all of the madness.. let it be said.. all I cared about was love.

MuzicNotez: What’s the latest release of yours? Tell us about it.

  • Ed Roman: The name of the latest single which is to be followed very shortly by a video is titled ” I Have A Dream “. Without sounding selfish the lyrics contain the very things that are missing from my life which I will probably never obtain or witness. That is why it is all but a dream. A life spent at peace, A relationship filled with love. A house filled with friends laughter and children, enjoying the bounties of hard work and existence. A species that learns to live together in harmony without restriction and a conquest overtone. To become greater than who we really are inside of our mortal coil’s.

Thank you so kindly for having me today and it’s always an absolute pleasure to be able to speak to the good people at MuzicNotez.
