MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.

What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

  • Ananda Xenia Shakti & Love Power the Band: Connection motivated me. I witness from a young age music brought people together, joyfully and made it easy for people to drop their issues and celebrate life.

    I started creating music around 10 years old for dramas my friends and I would act out. Professionally I began at age 18 as a member of an all girl punk band called the B Girls.

MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

  • Ananda Xenia Shakti & Love Power the Band: Yikes that a hard one… My meaning of life has turned 360 degrees since I was a teenager so what was relevant to me then and before kind of dropped away. Although I do believe I carry them in my. heart as inspirations. Because there have been so many and I wouldn’t say any of them specifically created the sound that ended up becoming my current band Love Power the Band. Here’s a short from retro listening to real time childhood and teenage years.

    Beatles, Rolling Stones, Lou Reed , David Bowie, Laura Nyro, Doors, Krishna Das, Motown, Alanis Morissette, Sting, Kanye West, Leonard Cohen, the Mystical Ancient Chants of India ( which is not a band but a spiritual genre). In essence I feel inspired by inspiration that desire to lifts or express the Soul or create a portal to new dimension kind of a Dionysus Vibe. In Love Power the Band we consciously involve the audience as part of the band and build the frequency to states of various elations. They can be wild and outwardly expressed or sometimes deep inner meditative places.

MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

  • Ananda Xenia Shakti & Love Power the Band: My ultimate goal is that the music will be popular on the International platform touching hearts to open to the festival of life and be a catalyst for the healthy evolution of our Humanity..

    Our message is ‘We are Love Power and SO ARE YOU! It is the power of love that creates, sustains, satisfies, and dissolves.

    LOVE IS WHERE YOU ARE, WE ARE LOVE, WE ARE COMPLETELY VALUABLE, ALL WONDERS LIVE WITHIN US, NO ONE IS MORE DESERVING OF LOVE THAN THE OTHER, WE ARE ONE, TOGETHER IN HUMILITY AND CARING WE ARE HERE TO LIVE, ALL OTHER STORIES WE HAVE ABOUT OUR SELVES OR OTHERS ARE ILLUSIONS, WE CAME TO EARTH TO LET GO OF THE ILLUSION AND REMEMBER WHAT WE REALLY ARE.

MuzicNotez: What’s the latest release of yours? Tell us about it.

  • Ananda Xenia Shakti & Love Power the Band: ‘Love is Where You Are’ is our current and first CD, we also have one single, Cosmic Quiver that has been released.

    The music is Inter-Dimensional Vibrational Healing Music, but not your standard ambient style. It is eclectic and entrancing, through beats, melodies, lyrics . The journey with the music is to activate joy, and meaning in life. and bring the lofty teaching of life and spirit into a celebration for all to enjoy.
