“Woman, you don’t have to carry that weight…”
Known by the moniker, Embers, this London-based duo is composed of singer, Jonty Rose and record producer/multi-instrumentalist, The Youth. The twosome’s combined interest in a vast array of sounds — Soul, Breakbeat, Orchestral, Rock, Country, and more — proved to be a great base for the pair. Recently releasing their first single off their upcoming debut album — Born to Roam — ‘Woman’ is a penetrating track showcasing Rose’s powerful vocals and The Youth’s talent with weaving genres; I’m hearing pop, alt-rock, blues, jazz. If you listen closer, the lyrics has an uplifting message for women. Personally, I’m looking forward to what Embers has in the making!
