“No country to hold me, no God to mold me… Ain’t got no!”
Princess Idia Gamble recently released her single, ‘Ain’t Got No’ — along with a couple others — and its got us excited! Daughter of the pioneer of Philadelphia soul, Kenneth Gamble, Princess Idia doesn’t fall far from the tree. Her music is infused with her upbringing of soul and jazz, and interestingly intwined with house and dance — how I imagine disco would sound like today. It’s refreshing to hear in today’s lot of indistinguishable music, for sure!
