The critically acclaimed singer and songwriter Carmen Lundy has released a new highly anticipated album ‘CODE NOIR’. The album was released February, 17th 2017. It crosses a variety of genres including jazz, blues, swing, funk, pop and more! Carmen doesn’t just provide her beautiful voice to the album either, she wrote or at least co-wrote each of the twelve tracks on this new album. This helps to provide us with her personal take and reflections on every soul encompassed track.
The latest single released from the album is available for your listening pleasure below and is entitled ‘I Got Your Number’. Some of her other tracks are more thought provoking and relevant to the turbulent times. This is more soft hearted and a romantic track.
Carmen also plays the keyboards and guitar on various tracks throughout the album. Patrice Rushen once again backs her up on the piano. Ben Williams is on acoustic and electric bass. Jeff Parker is on the electric guitar. Kendrick Scott is on the drums and other percussion. While Elisabeth Oei rounds things off on background vocals.
