Alternative country singer-songwriter Angie Bruyere hails from a small town known as “North Country” — Potsdam, New York — now transplanted in Los Angeles, California. She is the voice and guitarist for Angie and The Deserters, recently debuting their single “Country Radio” off of their soon to be released EP, “Blood Like Wine.”
The six-song “Blood Like Wine” EP was recorded at Nashville’s renowned recording studio, Castle Recording Studios, which is scheduled to be released on July 15th. A follow-up EP will also be in store later on in the year and will feature the other portion of her recorded tracks in Nashville.
Country Radio has a Country, Americana, Rock-a-billy feel, with the right amount of upbeat and catch that will have you singing and snapping along. Angie’s soulful rasp and country-twang draws a parallel with the lyrics and The Deserters instrumental presence, creating a backdrop for “Country Radio’s” story of a woman’s desire for a sighted-lover who she “heard [him] on the country radio.”
Check out Angie and The Deserters’ “Country Radio” and be sure to mark your calendars for their upcoming EP, “Blood Like Wine.”
