MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you Alicia, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.
What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?
Alicia G: Ever since I was a little girl I’ve been performing on stage which I have always loved. At the age of 13 is when I started taking opera license along with piano including training and acting dancing modeling gymnastics and cheerleading. What motivates me to create music is the joy that it brings to people at the end of the day I love to see someone smile.
MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?
Alicia G: Seeing my whole family has always been music industry I grew up around it. My grandfather used to play in a 12 piece orchestra that had a great big band sound which I loved. My father supported his way to college playing the drums in a rock band was also very inspiring. Besides for my family I would have to say the influences of Eminem his music always tells a great story and is never scared to hold back. Also Taylor Swift the fact how she write songs about her life experiences.
MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?
Alicia G: I want my music to be fun, flirty and something that you don’t forget and love to sing along with. I want longevity and to grow with my fan base. I would tell all artist to keep following your dream until you reach your goal.
MuzicNotez: What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to or performed?
Alicia G: The greatest concert I ever performed that was when I was one of the opening acts for the Goo Goo dolls on the main stage that was a true highlights of my life!
