Project Grand Slam is a jazz fusion group from New York City founded by Robert Miller. They’ve been extremely busy lately with the release of ‘Made In New York’ over the summer, then the unique cover of Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Fire’ on September 18th and next up is the album ‘Made In New York’ set to be released on October 16th.
You might also recognize the guest lead singer Kat Robichaud from the latest releases ‘Made In New York’ and ‘Fire’ from her appearance on ‘The Voice’! Her Rock n’ Roll and glam roots blend perfectly with the bands intense groove.
The latest release ‘Fire’ is really unbelievable! It’s a red hot re-take to the legendary classic and I’m sure Hendrix would absolutely love it. The smoking hot vocals and brilliantly groovy style of jazz combine with Hendrix lyrics to create a real gem. Plus the video is a perfect rendition to the song that I’m sure you’ll have to watch more than once!
I can’t wait to check out the new album in October, stay tuned to check out ‘Made In New York’ here on Oct. 16th. The most popular MuzicNotez Magazine posts each week are awarded as our “Pick of the Week“. Help this feature win by sharing it around!
