Elle Carpenter is a Folk/Americana artist originally out of Vermont, USA. She has been singing her whole life, starting early touring around the country with her family performing at folk festivals, schools and other events in her early childhood already. She recorded her first record as a back-up singer with the Wee-bops at age 6, age 8 a second album, 10-16 she toured with world music group ‘Village Harmony’ around the USA, UK, Canada, Denmark and Germany. Then in 09 after releasing her first solo album, Carpenter went to Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam to perform at the White Palace for a month.
Carpenters music is written on her life experiences, she expresses what she’s seeing and going through honestly through her lyrics. After the success of her debut album, she released her second album in 2011 entitled ‘With Open Hands’. Then the third album ‘Simple Girl’ was a collaboration between her brother Will and Scotty Lund of the Kansas City Bankroll. All the while she has continued to tour the country and gain more life experiences to write about.
Now her latest album was just released May 22 of this year. The title of this album is ‘Life Just Happens to You’ and Elle describes it as an unplugged story of the journey we take through life, from the most positive perspective. The single below ‘Open Hearts’ is off of the album and simply brilliant. Her vocals are stunning and perfectly match with the folky roots of the instrumentals.
