A singer-songwriter with a flair for lyrics and a bluesy take on indie music, Patrick McCallion is an artist who knows his way around a guitar and a turn of phrase. So far, his music and his band Patrick McCallions Small Words have taken him to great things, including well received support slots for the likes of Primal Scream, The Fratellis, Razorlight and the Charlatans. For the next EP though, he has something special planned to take him and the band to the next level.
With the songs all but ready to go, McCallion’s aim is to work with renowned producer David M Allen for the new EP. The veteran studio man has worked with the likes of The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Depeche Mode, The Human League and Neneh Cherry, and holds the kind of expertise Patrick McCallion is looking for to unlock a new gear in his sound.
The jump off point is pretty strong to start with (see last single ‘Murky Waters’ below), but with the experienced guidance of David M Allen, this is an EP which could launch a career.
