He first started listening to hip hop at the age of 10. His brother-in-law changed his life by introducing him to the D.O.C. and his album “No One Does It Better”. The Xxodys heard the D.O.C. and was instantly mesmerized by what he heard. He explains, “After hearing the D.O.C.’s album, I knew that rapping was something that I wanted to do. I knew that it took a lot of creativity and for someone my age, the way that the rhymes were created and delivered was an exciting thing to hear”. After hearing the D.O.C., and subsequent releases such as “The Chronic”, “Enter The Wu Tang”, “2pacalypse Now”, “Ready To Die”, “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik” and many other hip hop classics, The Xxodys decided that he wanted to definitely be an emcee. |
