Supported by a free download of the superb track ‘It Ain’t Right‘ Too Many Ts are a superb new rap duo who come highly recommended by some top industry types. And MuzicNotez would love to be added to that list.
Check out the track above, and you’ll see why. Their rapping is flawless, delivered with a rare wit and laid over some superb backing that sets it apart from their contemporaries. Rather than bombastic beats and a pounding four-on-the-floor rhythm, Too Many Ts draw instead on funk riffs and swing loops, giving their tracks the flavour of something more old fashioned, and brilliantly stylish.
These qualities spread throughout the pair’s debut EP, which passes in a too swift ten minutes – four tracks of condensed, hip hop originality that is all too brief. Each track has something different to offer, a slightly new approach on their retro-rap angle, that does exactly what a debut EP should do: whets the appetites for a full length LP.
