Lorna Reid new jazz single ‘Sweet Baby Blues’ was released on November 23rd, of 2024. It’s the lead single to her upcoming album ‘I Will Tell Your Story’, which will drop in March of 25. Hailing from Scotland, Lorna Reid is a jazz singer, that also blends elements of blues, soul and roots in to the music she creates. Reid has a strong reputation for breaking down traditional jazz norms, yet she stays true to the genres strong roots.
With the upcoming album coming next year, Lorna Reid’s lead single ‘Sweet Baby Blues’ creates a lot of excitement. The song was written by Reid and her songwriting partner from Texas, Darden Smith, in the highlands of Scotland. This song showcases a more intimate side of Reid than her big jazz band background that she’s so well known for. It’s a tender and emotional track, that Lorna describes as ‘raw and honest’.
‘Sweet Baby Blues’ shows what we can expect from the coming album, which will feature 11 other original tracks for you to enjoy as well.
